get the look: dotted denim.

If you glance around any clothing store right now you will likely see a plethora of patterned pants. 80s revival anyone? Personally, I am not quite sold on the floral or tribal options just yet, however, I will admit I’m a fan of the polka-dotted denim look! Here I’ve tracked down six choices in a variety of price ranges. How much are you willing to spend on the trend?

splurgeShopbop – $190 // Madewell – $190

spendJ.Crew – $98 // Gap – $69.95

saveTarget – $24.99 // Forever21 – $22.80

To get the biggest bang for your buck there is always the option to simply transform a pair of pants you already own with this tutorial by A Pretty Penny! Now that’s what I’m talking about – reduce, reuse, recycle!

What are your thoughts on the dotted denim look and printed pants trend — are you willing to give it a go or will you be sticking with your solid slacks this season?

  1. I really love the look of polka dot pants. I’ve always been a fan and so I don’t see that changing much for me personally (ie. it’s not that trendy for me), but in terms of how much I’d spend… I’d prefer to get a good QUALITY piece that will last, so no F21 or target (had bad experiences with zippers, etc). If the midprice options go on sale, then maybe. But they’d have to fit well. :)

  2. I’m all about investing in good quality key pieces that will last for years and trend cycles, but when it comes to seasonal trends – cheap is chic!

I love the pants from the gap – subtle enough that old ladies like myself can get away with being so trendy ;)

  4. I love all of these! I contemplated making a pair for myself, but my mom ended up buying me some for Christmas from Gap :) I’ve gotten a lot of wear out of them so far!
